Green Power Smoothie (Spinach, Banana & Hemp)

A creamy, vibrant green smoothie naturally sweetened with ripe banana and boosted with hemp seeds. Rich in iron, fiber, and healthy fats, it's a refreshing way to drink your greens.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful Baby Spinach
  • 1 medium Ripe Banana
  • 1 tablespoon Hemp Seeds (Hulled)
  • 0.75 cup Whole Milk or Plant Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 drop Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the spinach: Wash the baby spinach leaves thoroughly and remove any thick stems.
  2. Peel the ripe banana and break it into chunks. Using a frozen banana will make the smoothie extra creamy.
  3. Place the spinach, banana chunks, hemp seeds, and your choice of milk into a high-speed blender.
  4. Add a small squeeze of fresh lemon or a splash of orange juice. This Vitamin C boost is vital for iron absorption from the spinach.
  5. Add a tiny drop of vanilla extract for a more dessert-like aroma that toddlers love.
  6. Blend on high for at least 60 seconds. Safety Step: Ensure the mixture is completely smooth and no bits of spinach leaf or seeds are visible, as these can cause gagging.
  7. If the smoothie is too thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk until it reaches a drinkable consistency.
  8. Pour into a toddler-safe cup with a straw. Straw drinking is excellent for oral motor development at this age.
