Tahini & Date Porridge Bites

Soft, nutrient-dense bites made with oats, tahini, and naturally sweet dates. Tahini (sesame paste) is an important early allergen to introduce and provides calcium, iron, and healthy fats. Dates add iron and natural sweetness without any added sugar. Perfect for tiny hands to grab and gnaw.

Ingredients

  • 80 grams Rolled Oats
  • 2 tablespoons Tahini
  • 3 pieces Medjool Dates
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Oil
  • 180 ml Water

Instructions

  1. Pit the dates and chop them finely, or soak in warm water for 10 minutes if they are very firm.
  2. Cook the oats with water according to package directions until thick and soft.
  3. While the oats are still warm, stir in the tahini and chopped dates.
  4. Add the coconut oil and mix until well combined. The mixture should be thick and moldable.
  5. Let the mixture cool until safe to handle.
  6. With damp hands, roll tablespoon-sized portions into small balls or flatten into oval bites.
  7. Place on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  8. Serve at room temperature. The bites should be soft enough for baby to gnaw.
