Iron-Rich Beef & Vegetable Puree

A nutrient-dense meal featuring tender beef, carrots, and potatoes. This blend provides essential heme iron, zinc, and B12, supporting your baby's brain development and immune system.
Ingredients
- 50 grams Lean Beef
- 1 medium Carrot
- 1 small Potato
- 1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
- Trim any visible fat from the beef and cut into very small cubes.
- Wash, peel, and dice the carrot and potato into small, even pieces.
- Place the beef cubes in a small saucepan and cover with water or low-sodium bone broth. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the meat is very tender.
- In the last 10 minutes of cooking the meat, add the diced carrots and potatoes to the pot (or steam them separately for maximum nutrient retention).
- Ensure the beef is cooked through to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Transfer the meat and vegetables to a blender, including some of the cooking liquid.
- Add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and blend on high until the texture is completely smooth and liquid-like.
- Pass the puree through a fine-mesh sieve if any grainy meat fibers remain to ensure it is safe for a 6-month-old.
- Allow to cool completely and test the temperature before serving.
