Savory Chicken, Carrot & Parsnip Puree

A hearty, protein-rich meal. The earthy sweetness of parsnips and carrots perfectly complements tender chicken, providing essential iron and Vitamin A for your baby's growth and immunity.
Ingredients
- 50 grams Chicken Breast
- 1 medium Carrot
- 1 medium Parsnip
Instructions
- Wash, peel, and dice the carrots and parsnips into small cubes.
- Check the chicken breast carefully and cut into small, even chunks.
- Place the carrot and parsnip cubes in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for 8 minutes.
- Add the chicken chunks to the steamer basket with the vegetables and continue steaming for another 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (no pink remains) and the vegetables are very soft.
- Transfer the chicken and vegetables to a blender. Reserve some of the nutrient-rich steaming water.
- Blend on high, adding the reserved water or breast milk/formula 1 tablespoon at a time until a completely smooth, liquid-like puree is formed.
- For 6-month-olds, ensure there are no tiny grains or chunks of meat left to prevent gagging.
- Allow to cool and test the temperature before serving.
