Gentle Courgette & Pea Puree

A light and easily digestible veggie blend. This puree is high in Vitamin C and antioxidants, supporting your baby's immune system and eye health while providing a naturally sweet introduction to greens.
Ingredients
- 200 grams Zucchini (Courgette)
- 100 grams Green Peas
Instructions
- Wash the courgette thoroughly. Trim the ends and dice into small pieces (no need to peel as the skin is full of nutrients and softens when cooked).
- Place the diced courgette and the peas (fresh or frozen) into a steamer basket over boiling water.
- Steam for 6-8 minutes until the courgette is fork-tender and the peas are bright green.
- Transfer the vegetables to a blender. Reserve a little of the steaming water.
- Blend until very smooth. Because pea skins can be tough, press the puree through a fine-mesh sieve with the back of a spoon to remove any remaining fiber for a 'first-taste' silky texture.
- If the consistency is too thick, add a splash of breast milk, formula, or the reserved steaming water.
- Allow to cool completely and check the temperature before serving.
