Sweet Potato & Apple Puree

A smooth, comforting puree that introduces baby to natural sweetness. High in Beta-Carotene for eye health and Vitamin C to boost immunity.
Ingredients
- 150 grams Sweet Potato
- 1 piece Apple
Instructions
- Wash, peel, and dice the sweet potato into small cubes.
- Wash, peel, and core the apple, then dice into cubes of a similar size.
- Place the sweet potato cubes in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for 10 minutes.
- Add the apple cubes to the steamer and continue steaming both for another 5-8 minutes, or until both are very fork-tender.
- Transfer the cooked pieces into a blender or food processor.
- Puree until completely smooth. If the texture is too thick, add a tablespoon of the steaming water, breast milk, or formula until it reaches a thin, runny consistency suitable for 6 months.
- Allow to cool completely and test the temperature before serving.
