Steamed Apple & Pear Wedges with Yogurt Dip

Simple steamed fruit wedges served with a cinnamon-spiced yogurt dip. Steaming softens the fruit perfectly for little gums while keeping nutrients intact. The wedge shape is ideal for baby's palmar grasp, making this a wonderful first fruit snack.
Ingredients
- 1 medium Apple
- 1 small Pear
- 2 tablespoons Full-Fat Greek Yogurt
- 0.25 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- Peel and core the apple and pear. Cut into finger-sized wedges, big enough for your baby to grasp with half sticking out the top of their fist.
- Set up a steamer basket over a pot of simmering water. Place the pear wedges in first and steam for 8 minutes.
- Add the apple wedges and steam for a further 2–3 minutes until both fruits are tender but still hold their shape (they should give slightly when pressed but not fall apart).
- Remove from the steamer and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Mix the Greek yogurt with cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Serve the fruit wedges alongside the yogurt dip. Baby can pick up wedges and dip into the yogurt.
