Nourishing Salmon & Sweet Potato Puree

A brain-boosting blend of wild-caught salmon and sweet potato. This puree is rich in DHA Omega-3s for cognitive development and Beta-carotene for a healthy immune system.
Ingredients
- 50 grams Salmon Fillet
- 150 piece Sweet Potato
- 1 teaspoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
- Wash, peel, and dice the sweet potato into small cubes.
- Check the salmon fillet thoroughly for any tiny bones. Remove the skin.
- Place the sweet potato cubes in a steamer basket over boiling water and steam for 10 minutes.
- Add the salmon fillet to the steamer basket with the potatoes and continue steaming for another 6-8 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
- Transfer the cooked salmon and sweet potato to a blender. Reserve a little of the steaming water.
- Add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and blend until completely smooth.
- Check the texture; if it's too thick or 'grainy,' add a splash of breast milk or formula to make it extra creamy.
- Double-check once more for any missed bones while spooning into the bowl. Serve warm.
